YOUTH AMBASSADORS TRAVEL TO THE UNITED STATES

Ambassador Wayne bid farewell on Friday, February 22, to Argentina's Youth Ambassadors, who will visit the United States for two weeks to learn about American culture and values and to explain Argentine culture to Americans. The twelve students, who come from public schools in Mendoza, San Luis, Neuquen, Jujuy, San Juan, Buenos Aires, Tucuman, Santiago del Estero, La Pampa, Tandil, Corrientes, and Santa Fe, were chosen for their excellent academic achievements, community involvement, and fluency in English. The Youth Ambassador Program is part of the U.S.Embassy's ongoing investment in Argentina's youth, helping to prepare them to participate in today's ever-more globalized world.
