Americans In Argentina Cast Absentee Ballots

In a celebration of democracy that anticipates the high level of participation in the historic presidential election of November 4, more than 500 American citizens residing in Argentina came to the Embassy to cast their absentee ballots together with Ambassador Wayne and diplomatic officials.

The celebration included a jazz band and typical food and beverages served by American companies in Argentina –McDonalds, Starbucks, and California Burrito Co. Many young American citizens voted for the first time. A group of volunteers assisted voters with information on the ballot and answered their questions. The ballots deposited at the Embassy will be sent to the voters´ states by the Consular Service for the final counting of votes.
