AMBASSADOR WAYNE ATTENDS THE INAUGURATION CEREMONY OF THE 1st DEAF VOLLEYBALL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Ambassador Earl Anthonoy Wayne met the U.S. Deaf Women's Volleyball Team at the Inauguration Ceremony of the 1st Deaf Volleyball World Championship held at the CENARD (National Center of High Performance Sports) on August 1.  Also at the event were the Argentine Secretary of Sports, Claudio Morresi; the Undersecreary of Sports of the City of Buenos Aires, Francisco Irrazával; the Vicepresident of the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD), David Lanesman; the Volleyball Assistant Technical Director of ICSD, John Knetzger and the President of the Argentine Confederation fo Sports for the Deaf, Horacio Aleva.  To close the event, Argentine singer Patricia Sosa, godmother of the tournament, sang the song "Aprender a Volar" (Learning to Fly.)
