The Public Diplomacy Office organized on May 21 a videoconference on “The Impact of the U.S. elections on US Foreign Policy,” with the presentation of Jenny K. Lincoln, Ph.D. (State University of Ohio, Columbus), researcher and international observer in several international elections (U.S., Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panamá, Guyana, Venezuela and others). Dr. Lincoln analyzed the likely impact of the upcoming elections in U.S. on foreign policy, including the impact of the Congressional elections on Presidential candidate strategy, and answered numerous questions from the audience.  More than 80 people participated in the video conference including former Argentine ambassadors, political leaders, academics, NGO representatives and journalists. The conference was widely covered by the Argentine press.  Transmission connected U.S. (from Atlanta, Georgia) with Argentina (from two different points, Buenos Aires City and the Province of San Juan.)
