December 19, 2008
Ambassador Wayne met December 19 the two young Argentines who won the first Turner Prize in Argentina, presented by Turner International Argentina and CNN en Español. As they chatted over coffee, Martin Grosz, a student of social communications at Austral University, and Juan Pablo De Santis, a journalism student at Belgrano University, shared with the Ambassador their aspirations for the four exciting months they would be spending learning about every aspect of television news production at CNN en Español in Atlanta.
Grosz and De Santis defeated over 570 other candidates for the prize through a rigorous competition that focused on experience, school performance, Spanish and English knowledge, and writing and oral skills. To learn more about the program, visit Beca Turner 2008 (in Spanish)
