EIGHT ENGLISH TEACHERS FROM ARGENTINA GO TO TEXAS

Ambassador Earl Anthony Wayne met on January 25 with eight secondary school English teachers from Argentina that went to Austin, Texas for over two weeks to learn about U.S. culture, history, and society and to exchange ideas on new ways to teach English. Also participating in the program will be 18 other English teachers from Brazil, Costa Rica, and Uruguay.  The program will foster a better understanding of the United States and establish useful ongoing connections between teachers in Argentina and the US, and among the Argentine teachers themselves.
