Briefing American Students in Argentina

With more and more university students choosing to study abroad in Argentina, American Citizen Services planned a series of briefings to relay safety and security tips, provide information on consular services and share information on State Department careers.  Nearly 300 students attended three sessions in February and March and although the study abroad programs’ orientations have always included security briefings, program staff report that the students appeared to give more credence to the message when delivered by Embassy officials in English. Student exchange programs have remained strong despite the economic crisis, so ACS expects to continue to provide student security briefings.
