Ambassador Wayne Celebrates Thanksgiving at the American Club

On the afternoon of November 27 Ambassador Wayne made keynote remarks and shared a turkey lunch with all the trimmings at The American Club in downtown Buenos Aires.  The event was hosted by three American organizations in Argentina: The American Club of Buenos Aires, The American Woman’s Club and The American Society of the River Plate.

“I am thankful that I have been able to spend 2008 in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires, where I have been privileged to witness the efforts of Argentines and Americans to bring our two great countries closer together for common good,” said Ambassador Wayne.

 Ambassador Wayne spoke about the importance of Thanksgiving in American culture and gave thanks to the many Argentine guests for their work in bringing the two nations together.  After Ambassador Wayne spoke, the guests enjoyed a traditional American Thanksgiving lunch.
