Embassy Sponsors Ten English Teachers to Travel to the U.S. For a Training Program

Ambassador Lino Gutierrez met on July 10th with ten high school English teachers from various provinces in Argentina who will attend an intensive two week English language and American Studies training institute administered by the Texas International Educational Consortium (TIEC).
TIEC will offer training in the latest teaching methodologies and materials, which will improve the teachers' ability to increase the English language skills of their students in Argentina, to promote a better understanding about the United States and its culture through the academic program, and to establish fruitful connections among the teachers.
Participating teachers are: Clementina Alba, from Santa Rosa, La Pampa; Jessica Basan, Rosario, Santa Fe; Marisol Castillo, San Juan; María Guaymas, Salta; Griselda Iglesias, Santa Rosa, La Pampa; Claudia Llanderal, from Corrientes; Ana Macarrón, from Río Cuarto, Córdoba; Alejandra Partucci, Godoy Cruz, Mendoza; Paola Portesio, La Palestina, Córdoba; and Claudia Suárez, Santiago del Estero.
