“The strength and dedication of Mrs. Susana Trimarco remains an inspiring model for all those who are committed to combating trafficking in persons,” Ambassador Martínez relayed.

Ambassador Vilma Martínez met with Mrs. Susana Trimarco’s, founder of the María de los Angeles Foundation, to discuss the Foundation's important work in assisting victims of human trafficking and combating the crime.  During the meeting, the two discussed several ongoing initiatives of the Foundation, including projects to train professionals to assist victims at new shelters in provinces that currently don’t have such resources. 

“The U.S. government remains firmly committed to partnering with governmental and non-governmental organizations around the globe to eradicate this terrible scourge,” said the Ambassador.
