Ambassador Wayne Becomes a Certified Barista at Starbucks’ Training Center

On Marcg 5, Ambassador Wayne visited Starbucks’ Training Center located in Vicente Lopez where over 150 youngsters from Argentina and several other Latin American countries have been trained to deliver the Starbucks experience in Argentina.  Starbucks operates their training center in Buenos Aires as a commitment to both professional development and product quality.  The Ambassador had the opportunity to tour the facility and meet with executives from Starbucks, as well as Burger King and their strategic partner, Alsea.  Starbucks’ General Manager also provided the Ambassador with an overview of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives which include partnerships with Fundación Flexer and Fundación Hogar Juanito to support children with cancer and that are victims of family violence, respectively.  The Ambassador praised Diego Paolini, General Manager for Starbucks Argentina on these efforts and the company’s commitment in supporting the communities in which they operate.  

Starbucks has created over 200 new jobs in Argentina operating in five locations throughout the city.  The company opened their sixth location on March 5, located at Florida near Rivadavia.

“I can attest that Starbucks’ Training Center has proven to be very effective in producing talented young baristas, I hope I now can make a medley of coffee drinks as good as they can” joked Ambassador Wayne.
