SARMIENTO-MANN SCHOLARSHIP CERTIFICATES CEREMONY
October 21, 2009

John Finn, Cultural Affairs Officer, presented certificates to Sarmiento-Mann scholarship recipients studying at the Comodoro Rivadavia Binational Center, ACRICANA, on Wednesday October 21st. Fifteen students have received this prestigious scholarship and will study English for the next two years, all expenses paid.  Sarmiento-Mann scholarships are given to students who have outstanding scholastic records, but do not have the economic resources to pay for private English Language instruction.  The program is a joint venture between the US Embassy and ACRICANA to provide worthy Argentine students from public secondary schools the opportunity to enhance their future job options by acquiring the skill of speaking English.  Over 576 Argentine students currently receive scholarships to study English at 13 Binational Centers throughout Argentina.
