JOINT CEREMONY FOR ARGENTINE "WHITE HELMETS" GOING TO LOUISIANA

Ambassador Lino Gutierrez and Deputy Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana officiated at a departure ceremony for a volunteer Argentine mental health team of 18 "White Helmets" and Health Ministry workers, September 23. In his remarks, Ambassador Gutierrez emphasized bilateral cooperation at a time of adversity. Also in attendance were Gabriel Fuks, head of the White Helmets, and Anibal Gutierrez, Foreign Ministry Chief of Cabinet. The team departed September 27 to provide post-disaster psychological attention to victims in and around the city of Jefferson Parish, one of the most battered districts of Louisiana.
