SENATOR CHRISTOPHER DODD, CONGRESSMAN XAVIER BECERRA AND AMBASSADOR WAYNE MEET PRESIDENT CRISTINA FERNANDEZ DE KIRCHNER

Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT) and Congressman Xavier Becerra (D-CA) visited Argentina May 28-29. Senator Dodd is Chairman of the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, Peace Corps, and Narcotics Affairs of the Committee on Foreign Relations. Congressman Becerra is Assistant to the Speaker of the House and member of the Committee on Ways and Means. During their stay in Buenos Aires they met with President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, Economy Minister Carlos Fernandez, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Jorge Taiana to discuss bilateral and regional issues. At the Ambassador’s residence, they also met with representatives from the NGO community.
