AMBASSADOR WAYNE AT SCOFIELD TRIO SOUND CHECK

Ambassador Wayne attended on May 28 the sound check of the John Scofield Trio and the Scohorns with a group of six students and two professors from the Escuela de Musica Satch as well as with two young Argentine jazz musicians from the band Prisma. Prior to the show the Ambassador talked to them about their school, the instruments they play and their career plans. One on the students was particularly interested in sound production and was able to meet John Scofield’s sound technician. The musicians from Prisma talked with the Ambassador about their musical studies and recent band performances. They were able to share their recent cd with the Ambassador.
Upon the completion of the sound check John Scofield and other band members chatted briefly with the students about their studies and interest in jazz music.
John Scofield is a Grammy Award-winning artist plays regularly in Buenos Aires and is much prized by many Argentine fans as is bass player Steve Swallow, rated as one of the best jazz bassists in the world.
