U.S. AMBASSADOR TO THE IAEA, GREGORY SCHULTE, TALKS TO ARGENTINE JOURNALISTS ABOUT IRAN'S NUCLEAR AMBITIONS

Ambassador Gregory Schulte, Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations Office in Vienna, the International Atomic Energy Agency, and other international organizations in Vienna, conversed at length with senior Argentine journalists, September 6, via digital video conference between Vienna and Buenos Aires. Ambassador Schulte explained that the U.S. and the international community share the same objective of achieving a diplomatic solution. Ambassador Schulte emphasized Iran's failure to comply with the non-proliferation regime, according to the norms of the IAEA and the UN Security Council. Ambassador Schulte also discussed Argentina's helpful policy at the IAEA and UNSC, in addition to giving a clear description of many facets of the history and political aspects of the case, gave examples from U.N. Inspectors' reports.
