AMBASSADOR WAYNE DONATES GEAR TO SALTA´S BASEBALL LEAGUE

Ambassador Wayne visited the province of Salta on April 29 and presented a donation of baseball equipment to Salta´s Baseball League, formed by six affiliated teams. The teams were represented by their presidents and players from minor, college and major categories. Present at the donation ceremony held at the Baseball Athletic Club were Governor Urtubey, Major Isa, Salta´s Secretary of Sports Francisco Palopoli and other authorities.
“Baseball development in this beautiful city is impressive and players´ enthusiasm and interest is a clear example of sports as one of the best tools to promote understanding between our peoples,” underscored Ambassador Wayne as he presented the donation of baseball gear to Salta´s Baseball League.
The Ambassador also greeted Argentine and U.S. women’s field hockey teams playing in Salta in an expected match.
At noon, the Ambassador participated in an event organized by FURP (Rio de la Plata University Foundation) from Salta where he spoke about bilateral relations between Argentina and the United States. The Ambassador also participated in another event to promote tourism in Orlando, Florida.
Finally, Ambassador Wayne attended a certificate award ceremony to recognize 55 public school students winning ACCESS scholarships to study English at ISICANA, Salta´s Binational Center. Present at the ceremony held at “Fundación Salta” were parents, students, school directors, ISICANA staff and Salta’s Secretary of Education Adriana López Figueroa.
