Embassy donates books through Rotary Club

Beatriz de la Fuente, Coordinator of the San Isidro Labrador Library of the Kennedy University, receives the donation presented by Martinez Rotary Club International Service Department Director Fernando Martinez Granata.

The Embassy Information Resource Center donated approximately 350 books to the Rotary Club in Martinez for distribution in local libraries.  The Rotary Club in Martinez has been working closely for over 50 years with the main community institutions in Martinez and has collaborated with the Embassy on several projects.

Thanks to the Rotary Club in Martinez, most of the books were given to the San Isidro Labrador Library of the Kennedy University and to Public School No. 10. in Martinez. The books donated included an encyclopedia and a set of English and Spanish books on politics, drug prevention, international economy, environment, and other topics.
