Charge d’affaires Kelly met on August 7 with the distinguished American journalist and scholar, David Rieff.  Mr. Rieff presented his plans to visit Argentina in November to present the Susan Sontag Literary Translation Prize.  David Rieff is the only son of the late U.S. writer Susan Sontag and the President of the Susan Sontag Foundation which seeks to encourage the translation of important foreign literary works into English.  Rieff is also a foreign policy expert and author who has written books about the Balkans, humanitarian assistance, and human rights.
