Information Resource Center

The Information Resource Center (IRC), located in the U.S. Embassy, serves the U.S. mission to Argentina by providing Argentines with timely, accurate information on U.S. law and government, and on U.S. policies affecting the bilateral relationship. The IRC is staffed by three professional librarians and two assistants who rely on a reference collection of over 2,500 books, a virtual reference collection, the Internet, and a host of online databases to respond to inquires and to develop information outreach products. Through these databases the IRC has up-to-the-minute acces to the full text of over 10,000 magazines, newspapers, wire services, and other information sources. The IRC responds to requests for information from Argentines in the government, the press, academia, and non-governmental organizations. IRC staff can perform research on any aspect of United States federal, state, or local government, as well as on U.S. politics, law, economy, history, culture, or society. Most of the IRC resources are in English.

The information specialists at the Information Resource Center look forward to hearing from you and assisting you with your search for information from and about the United States. Please call, write, email, or fax us at:
