THE UNITED STATES EMBASSY WILL BE CLOSED ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 2, TO OBSERVE A NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING IN MEMORY OF PRESIDENT FORD

CONSULAR SECTION WILL REMAIN OPEN

President Bush on December 28 issued an Executive Order providing that US Government departments and agencies will close on Tuesday, January 2, 2007, as a mark of respect for Gerald R. Ford, the 38th President of the United States. As a consequence of this order, the Embassy will be closed on Tuesday, with the exception of the Consular Section, which will remain open during normal business hours for regular Consular services, including visas.
