AMBASSADOR WAYNE VISITS CHRISTOPHER RAUSCHENBERG'S PHOTO EXHIBIT WITH PH 15 FOUNDATION MEMBERS

Ambassador Wayne met on August 11 with US photographer Christopher Rauschenberg, who is participating in Buenos Aires’ 20th “Festival of Lights.” His photo exhibit is sponsored by the U.S. Embassy and the Photo Gallery of the San Martin Theater Complex. Ambassador Wayne was joined by members of the PH 15 Foundation to discuss different photographic techniques with Rauchenberg, who led a tour of the exhibit and shared his thoughts behind each of the exhibited photos.
"Photography is seeing the world through other people's eyes,” said Rauschenberg. “We have to respect our different ways of seeing the world. As an artist, I can’t say, ‘look only at this.’ I open my whole work to you and let you discover things in it that others may not see.”
PH 15 Foundation uses photography to improve the employment prospects and social integration of 400 young people who live in Villa 15, also known as “Ciudad Oculta.”
