Ambassador Vilma Martinez Visits Mar del Plata and Meets with Mayor Gustavo Pulti

On November 10th, to mark the 40th anniversary of the creation of Sesame Street, Ambassador Vilma Martinez participated in a tribute to the creator, Jim Henson, which was organized by the Mar del Plata 24th International Film Festival. During her stay in Mar del Plata, Ambassador meet with different officials in the area.

"On my first visit to Mar del Plata, I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the city and the friendliness of all the people I've met," Ambassador Martinez said.

The Ambassador held a formal meeting with Mayor Gustavo Pulti, with whom she went over various local issues, including how to prepare the city for the 2010 summer.

"We talked with Mayor Pulti about the city's preparations for the upcoming 2010 season and in turn, about the possibilities of joint cooperation in the areas of tourism, education and culture," said Ambassador Martinez.

Other activities included an alumni breakfast with the Ambassador for Fulbright Exchange Program Alumni, and a meeting with members of the Union of Young Entrepreneurs Argentina, with whom she talked about the challenges young people face when starting their first business.
