EMBASSY HOSTS U. S. SPEAKER PROGRAM ON CRIMINAL MEDIATION AND RESTORATIVE JUSTICE
May 8-12, 2006
Marty Price, Director of Victim-Offender Reconciliation Program, of Asheville, North Carolina visited Buenos Aires and Rio Negro to talk to members of the legal community and NGOs about Restorative Justice. Under a Restorative Justice program, a crime victim who would like to do so can face the offender to ask questions and receive an apology. These kinds of programs enable victims and their families to recover from the damage done to them by the crime.
