Ambassador Wayne spoke at the opening of the IV Pan American Meeting on Internet Communication, on December 10.
The Ambassador remarked that “Today, it is esential to analize the changes Internet and new technologies bring to journalism, and their impact on communication. Although the basic principles of journalism, such as information precision, the search for truth, ethics and credibility, are immutable, the challenges posed by new technologies are immense. It is well known that the media that ignore the web will not survive. Digital media present to us a fascinanting world, full of challenges and opportunities for progress in communication. ”
