Ambassador Wayne met on October 7 with the head of Argentina’s BICE - Investment and Foreign Trade Bank, Miguel Peirano, with whom he exchanged views on the state of the economy globally and regionally.

Mr. Peirano described BICE's role in providing long term financing to support investment in Argentina's productive capacity and BICE's ongoing cooperation with multilateral organizations, including Corporacion Andina de Fomento (CAF) and the Inter-American Development Bank.

The Ambassador and Mr. Peirano underscored the relevance of productive investment as a key variable for macroeconomics equilibrium and committed to continue to work jointly in bilateral ways of cooperation that are mutually beneficial for both Argentina and the United States.
