U.S. Passports

  • 5cm x 5cm square
  • within the past six months
  • color
  • against a light background
  • full face

    The image of the head measured from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head (including hair) must be 3.5cm.

  • No looking down or to either side.
  • No headcoverings and hats except due to religious beliefs.
  • No photographs of military, airline or other personnel wearing hats.
  • No glasses or anything which may detract from the face unless required for medical reasons.
  • No photographs taken in front of busy, patterned or dark backgrounds
