EMBASSY HOSTS U.S. SPEAKER ON HEMISPHERIC SECURITY COOPERATION
April 10-14, 2006

Dr. David Scott Palmer, a Boston University professor, made the case on his visit to Argentina that free market reforms in the 90s resulted in more resilient democracies throughout Latin America.  He also stated that he had compared the amount of funds provided by the U.S. to the region before and after 9/11 and found no real change.
