Ambassador Waynes visits Ciudad Oculta

Ambassador Wayne visited Ciudad Oculta to attend a children’s day celebration organized by Maria Rosa Gonzalez, leader of “Mujeres por la Vida”, an anti drug organization that combats the use of drugs, especially “paco”. Mrs. Gonzalez was the Argentine nominee to the 2008 International Woman of Courage Award. About 200 kids showed up for the event to play soccer, enjoy the performance of clowns and the visit of "Barney".  Kids received toys donated by McDonald’s and SEDRONAR, sodas donated by Coca-Cola and chocolate milk by McDonald's. The NGO “Movimiento para la Paz” and other volunteers helped with the event. Ambassador praised Maria Rosa for all her work and for offering the kids healthy alternatives to drug use.
