AMBASSADOR WAYNE MEETS WITH HEALTH MINISTER OCAÑA ON DENGUE

Ambassador Wayne met on April 7 with Minister of Health Graciela Ocaña to discuss the state of the dengue outbreak in Argentina. Minister Ocaña explained the current status of the outbreak and outlined the Ministry's efforts to control the outburst.
The Minister also praised the social responsibility demonstrated by a U.S. company which had significantly reduced its prices. To the Ambassador's offer of U.S. Government assistance, the Minister replied that she would appreciate assistance in obtaining two additional heavy duty fumigation machines to fight dengue.
