MEMBERS OF THE FOREIGN AGRICULTURAL SERVICE VISIT CENTER FOR TOTAL PRODUCTION EDUCATION

Agricultural Counselor Dwight Anthony Wilder and Agricultural Specialist Francisco Pirovano visited on June 11 the Center for Total Production Education (Centro de Educación para la Producción Total) (CEPT) No 7, Colonia 17 (Tres Lomas City - Saliquelo). They were received by Mr. Jorge Themtham, Secretary of the Federation of Partnerships of Centers for Total Production (Federación de Asociaciones de Centros de Educación para la Producción Total) (FACEPT). Mr. Wilder and Mr. Pirovano discussed with high-school students from the third and fourth year the role of the Foreign Agricultural Service of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) at the US Embassy. They also spoke about the scholarship programs offered by the USDA and the US embassy to foster exchange and cooperation between the two countries, including Cochran Fellowship and Embassy grants.
