How to Apply
There are four ways to schedule your appointment:
1. DO IT YOURSELF
a) With your VISA or MASTERCARD: Call the VIS at 4321-1100. Select the credit card option and buy a PIN of USD 15 dollars approximately. Once the transaction is approved, you will have access to the Service.
b) Go to any Pago Fácil location, pay for a Visa Information Service (VIS) PIN and call 4321-1100 to schedule your visa interview at the Embassy in Buenos Aires.
2. THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED CENTER:
Visit any Bi-National Center, or DHL office to have them schedule your appointment.
3. CALLING FROM THE U.S.:
Visa applicants calling from the United States need to dial 1-877-355-0943 to purchase a Visa Information Service PIN using either a Visa or MasterCard for an approximate charge of AR $ 50. Once the credit card transaction is approved, you will have access to the service, receive information and schedule an appointment.
4. APPLY BY MAIL
If you are under 14 years old or over 79 years old, you may be able to apply and receive your visa by mail, without a personal interview. Please contact a Bi-national center or DHL for more information about the Drop Box process.
Be sure to have your passports on hand when you schedule your visa appointment. You may also request your appointment while your passport is in the process of being issued, but you must physically bring it with you the day of your interview.
Note: You can schedule with one PIN, up to five family members
Before coming to your visa interview:
Pay your application fee at any Banco de la Ciudad or Red Link locations.
(Applicants are advised that the U.S. government is not responsible for any errors that may occur as a result of using Red Link ATM services for visa payment fee. All such errors including lack of receipt paper or unreadable receipts are not reimbursable by the U.S. government. Instead, all requests for reimbursement and all complaints related to services sought through the privately-owned and operated Red Link system should be referred directly to Red Link customer service).
Complete all the required forms for your type of visa.
Arrive on time for your scheduled appointment.
Your fingerprints will be scanned before your interview.
If approved, your visa and passport will be delivered by DHL OR returned to the Bi-national Center that scheduled your appointment.
Pin Price Adjustment
Effective March 1st , the PIN price will be adjusted. The PIN number will cost AR $ 50 (USD 16). If you buy your PIN with a credit card calling from a local phone number or from the United States, the cost will be USD 15.
