US Elections Presentation in Quilmes

Consular officer Jonathan Nellis gave a presentation on the US electoral process on October 10 at Colegio San Jose Obrero, a high school in Quilmes, Province of Buenos Aires. Almost 40 students and teachers attended the event.  The audience was highly interested in the topic of the lecture, and in the US in general; the 30 minutes presentation was followed by more than an hour of Q&A about the elections, US foreign policy and its role in Latin America, and the global financial crisis. This presentation is part of the series of lectures on the electoral process in the United States organized by the Embassy to highlight the upcoming elections on November 4, 2008.
