EMBASSY HOSTS U.S. SPEAKER ON INFORMATION ARCHITECURE
April 20-23, 2009

Kathy Mirescu, Senior User Experience Designer at Live Nation, a global live events company based in Los Angeles, participated in the Annual Conference of the Argentine Association of Graduate Librarians (ABGRA) in Buenos Aires. Ms. Mirescu was invited to give a lecture and to participate in a round table on Information Architecture and Web 2.0 tools for libraries.  Participants learned that information architects are user advocates and bring the principles of design and architecture to the digital landscape, with a particular focus on websites.

The ABGRA conference, held during the Buenos Aires Book Fair, is one of the most important gatherings of professional librarians in Latin America. More than 700 professionals from Argentina and other countries in the region participate each year.

Ms. Mirescu also gave a lecture for over 100 students and professors at the School of Library Science, University of Buenos Aires.
