AmAMBASSADOR WAYNE MEETS PLANNING MINISTER JULIO DE VIDO

Ambassador Wayne met on May 2 with Planning Minister Julio De Vido, with whom he exchanged views on energy issues in the hemisphere and the value of diversifying energy sources. They also discussed the strong growth and competitiveness of Argentina’s IT sector and the growing presence of U.S. companies in Argentina. They also talked about the June Competitiveness Forum in Atlanta, hosted by the Department of Commerce, to which senior GoA officials and private sector players have been invited. Later, Ambassador Wayne met with Labor Minister Tomada to discuss opportunities for cooperation between our respective labor ministries on supporting and developing corporate social responsibility and the challenge posed by trafficking in persons and forced labor.
