AMBASSADOR WAYNE VISITS MENDOZA

Ambassador Wayne visited the western province of Mendoza May 3-4. The Ambassador began his fifth trip to the country’s interior at the US-funded Pierre Auger Observatory in the town of Malargüe, where scientists explained their efforts to investigate cosmic rays. In the provincial capital, Ambassador Wayne awarded ten Sarmiento-Mann scholarships for high-school students to study English at the local Binational Center. He also met with Governor Julio Cobos and hosted a meeting with the provincial Expats’ Club.
