US VICE-CONSUL MAKES BOOK DONATION IN MENDOZA

US Embassy Vice-Consul Rachel Sunden made a book donation at the Patricias Mendocinas School in the city of Mendoza on October 25. The Vice-Consul led a US Embassy delegation to the western provincial capital in order to provide consular services to US residents living there, and seized the opportunity to visit the all-girls public school and donate a set of books. Accompanied by the head of Mendoza’s AMICANA bi-national centre (BNC), Avelino Prieto, Ms. Sunden met and chatted with the 70 students aged between 6 and 12 that gathered in the school’s auditorium. She then presented school authorities with the books, a collection of US literature classics for children translated into Spanish.
