AMBASSADOR WAYNE ATTENDS CEREMONY IN HONOR OF FORMER TENNIS PLAYER MARTINA NAVRATILOVA AT THE CITY OF BUENOS AIRES LEGISLATURE

Ambassador Wayne attended on March 13 a ceremony at the City of Buenos Aires Legislature to announce former Checoslovaquian-American tennis player Martina Navratilova as Guest of Honor of the City of Buenos Aires at the initiative of Deputy Jorge Garayalde
During the ceremony also attended by former Argentine player Gabriela Sabatini, Ambassador Wayne talked with both sportswomen about the tennis match they will be playing soon to help raise awareness among people about ´myasthenia gravis´, a disease affecting mostly women. This important event, proposed by Deputy Garayalde, is organized by “Fundación Miastenia Gravis” (FAIAM).
"It is a great pleasure for me to be here to honor this outstanding sportswoman whose talent and effort have excelled at international tennis; being an example for future younger generations. I also congratulate Martina and Gabriela for this charity match they will play to help raise awareness of ´myasthenia gravis´”, said Ambassador Wayne.
