FAMOUS BASEBALL PLAYER CANDY MALDONADO TALKS TO YOUTH

Famous baseball player Candy Maldonado talked February 13 to members of the Social Integration Roundtable’s Youth Inclusion Committee, an organization of the Municipality of San Isidro Secretariat for Community Integration.

The event, organized by the Embassy, the Martinez Rotary Club, and the Municipality of San Isidro, was held at the Municipal Sports Field No.1 in Beccar. Candy Maldonado shared with his beginnings as a baseball player and encouraged youngsters to stay in school and participate in sports programs.

Robert Howes, Embassy’s Public Affairs Officer; Martinez Rotary Club Director for International Services Fernando Martinez Granata, and Mr. Delfin Beccar Varela from the Municipality of San Isidro Secretariat for Community Integration, were also present.
