MAKING A DIFFERENCE

On Friday, 23 June 2006, the Marine Detachment of the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires, along with volunteers Emily Beam and Sam Alarid, took part in digging fence holes for the Hogar de Niños (Home for Children). The home is located in a rural section of Quilmes, Argentina, approximately 45 minutes outside of Buenos Aires. Along with the Ejercito de Salvacion (The Salvation Army), the volunteers spent the day digging holes for a new fence that is in much need of repair. The Marine detachment will continue working on the fence until it is complete.
