Ambassador Wayne and the Quartet at the School

Taking advantage of the visit of the Alexander String Quartet to Buenos Aires, the US Embassy organized a master class for the members of the orchestra of the Madre Teresa School in Virreyes. During the almost two hours of the class, the youths chatted with the members of the quartet and played the famous "Hymn to Joy," by Beethoven.

Ambassador Earl Anthony Wayne took part of the class and was later welcomed by the students from the school, who enjoyed a brief presentation by the quartet.

“The school and the related programs in Virreyes are doing wonderful things for the children of this area.  I am happy that we could share with them music and instruction from these World class classical musicians from the United States.  It was a really enjoyable experience for us to make this possible,” said Ambassador Wayne
