AMBASSADOR ANTHONY WAYNE AT THE 20TH EDITION OF THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHT

Ambassador Wayne attended and spoke at the official opening of the 20th edition of the Argentine Festival of Light on August 7. This year, the U.S. Embassy worked with the San Martin Theater Photo Gallery in order to show Christopher Rauschenberg's work. At the opening, the Ambassador met Mr. Rauschenberg and Mr. Juan Travnik, Director of the Photo Gallery as well as Mr. Hernan Lombardi, Minister of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires; Argentine photographer Elda Harrington, Director of the Festival; Alejandro Montes de Oca, Co-Director; and Claudio Massetti, Director of the Recoleta Cultural Center.
The Festival of Light this year includes photography of hundreds of Argentine and international artists in Buenos Aires and other Argentine cities. Mr. Rauschenberg’s show entitled "Daily Life" is being presented in the San Martin Theater.
