AMBASSADOR WAYNE READS A U.S. CLASSIC AT THE CHILDREN’S BOOK FAIR

The U.S. Ambassador visited the 19th Children’s Book Fair on August 7 and read one of the best loved U.S. stories to about 200 children and parents in the storytelling corner. First published in 1960, “Green Eggs and Ham” is one of the widest read children’s books in the U.S. Written by the famous Dr. Seuss, the book uses entertaining and humorous rhymes to encourage children to try new things.
Ambassador Wayne had the opportunity to talk with the children about the subject of the book and remind them of the value of reading and learning. Horacio Garcia, President of the of the Book Foundation, and Marta Diaz, Director of the Fair, received the Ambassador and members of the Embassy staff, and hosted them on a tour of one of the most important events that takes place in Buenos Aires during the school recess.
