The United States Embassy organized a digital video teleconference on May 5 with Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University’s School of Public Policy and Visiting Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Mrs. Kennedy Townsend, Maryland’s first woman Lt. Governor, discussed the important role civic education plays in getting young people more involved in the democratic process.
