Sarmiento-Mann Scholarship

Kathleen Corey, Public Diplomacy Officer, presented certificates to Sarmiento-Mann scholarship recipients studying at the San Francisco Binational Center, ISFICANA, on Thursday, August 20th. Fifteen students received the prestigious scholarship and will study English for the next two years all expenses paid. Sarmiento-Mann scholarships are given to students who have outstanding scholastic records but do not have the economic resources to pay for private English instruction. The program is a joint venture between the US Embassy and ISIFICANA to help worthy Argentine students enhance their future job opportunities by acquiring the skill of speaking English. Over 576 Argentine students currently receive scholarships to study English at 13 Binational Centers throughout Argentina.
