NFPA – IRAM: new safet standard

On December 3, 2008 Charles Ranado and Marina Millet assisted the launch of a new safety standard by a joint effort of the U.S. National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and IRAM (Argentina’s Standards Agency). Ranado and Millet met NFPA’s Executive Director for International Operations, Olga Caledonia, IRAM’s Head of Security Mario Paonessa, NFPA Argentine chapter President Eduardo Abe, Center for Process Safety (CCPS) Argentine Rep Roberto Fernandez Blanco and Head of Safety of Dow Chemical Nestor Esposito. The discussion focused on Argentina 's current fire security situation and different opportunities that may arise from the educational activities that NFPA is actively promoting together with US companies in Argentina , like Dow Chemical in Bahia Blanca .
