Ambassador Earl Anthony Wayne arrived on November 23 in San Luis province on a two-day official visit.

The Ambassador was received by Governor Alberto Rodriguez Saa in “Potrero de los Funes” circuit where he attended the International Automobile Federation (FIA-GT) Grand Tourism race. The Ambassador noted this is the first time this race is held in the Southern hemisphere. "It has been very exciting for me to share this historic race, the first one of its kind to be held in Argentina, with over 80,000 people who bought up the tickets to see it." – said the Ambassador.  "The ‘Potrero de los Funes’ circuit is really spectacular, a matter of pride for the province and the country."

Ambassador Wayne accompanied by Governor Rodriguez Saa and the President of the International Grand Tourism category, Stéphane Ratel, toured the pits of racing teams, some of which use U.S. cars Corvette and Saleen. "I was very pleased to see U.S. trademarks represented through these two cars in such an important sports competition."

Before the race, the Ambassador was received at the city airport by Vice-Governor of San Luis Jorge Luis Pellegrini and City Mayor Alicia Lemme.

In the afternoon, Ambassador Wayne visited La Carolina Mine and had dinner in the evening with Governor Rodriguez Saa and his collaborators. The Ambassador’s delegation was formed by Defense Attaché Col Douglas Lengenfelder, Air Force Section Chief Lt Col Greg Green and by the Political Officer Carolee Aker.

"It is a great pleasure for me to be here in San Luis for the first time. I had heard a lot about San Luis and its projects and wanted to see them in person."  said the Ambassador.
