English-speaking prisoners in Buenos Aires jails are now fully booked thanks to a recent American Citizen Services donation of more than 1,500 pieces of English language reading material collected by members of the U.S. Embassy and expatriate community in Buenos Aires.  Consul General Jennifer Noronha and representatives from American Citizen Services presented the books and magazines and a used computer to officials at Prison Complex One in Ezeiza in a ceremony before about 100 women prisoners on August 6.  The donation was made in support of a new penitentiary initiative -- called Programa Angloparlante -- to accommodate English-speaking foreign inmates during their pre-trial detention.
