Science campers visit the Embassy
November 2, 2012
Iguazú Camp participants visited the IRC on November 2nd, and met with Environment, Science, Technology and Health Counselor Mark Cullinane and Assistant Cultural Officer Mark Naylor to discuss their interest in science, scholarships and English.
They also had the opportunity to visit the U.S. booth at Tecnopolis, only a few days before the closing of the exhibition.
Melisa Anabel Muñoz, Ramiro Segovia, Carolina Alfano Ciordia and Germán Alperovich, all from the city of Buenos Aires, are four of the 18 students who will travel to Misiones to participate in the “Experiencia Iguazú Camp” that will take place at Puerto Iguazú in November 16-20, 2012.
Participants will enjoy four days exploring science at an intensive, hands-on camp near Iguazu Falls.
Campers will have the chance to conduct experiments in the field, discuss science, explore the camp surroundings, visit the Falls and enjoy exchanging ideas with other campers. They will also understand more about science, about how to become a scientist, think like a scientist, and explore the various scientific fields.
We wish them good luck with the trip!!
