The ACS Unit is open to the public for general inquiries Monday through Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Before stopping by, please email BuenosAires-ACS@state.gov with any details/questions, as most general inquiries can be addressed without coming to the Embassy.

Social Security and Federal Benefits Unit
The Federal Benefits Unit is open to the public Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 8:00 am to 11:30 am.

Holidays
The ACS Unit is closed on U.S. and Argentine holidays and Consular Administrative Days.
Security at the Embassy
Please do not bring electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops, iPods and Blackberries. They are not allowed on Embassy grounds. Other prohibited items include cigarettes, lighters, cosmetics, liquids, large bags and packages.

Appointment System

Appointments must be scheduled online and in advance for passports and Reports of Birth, as well as notarials and other services.
